一年一度由美国华盛顿大学举办的全球社会企业创业计划书大赛诚邀你的参与。只要你是研究生就可以组队参加比赛（2－4人组成），入选的团队将有机会赴美国西雅图的华盛顿大学参加最终比赛。来自发展中国家（包括中国）团队（入围的商业计划书）将获得来自比赛组委会提供的金额不等旅费赞助。对获得比赛组委会提供旅费赞助的MBA团队，厦门大学管理学院MBA中心将给予一定的资助。
2007年全球社会企业创业计划书大赛邀请来自世界各地的学生来参加这个寻找能够改进发展中国家人民生活质量的创造性和企业化方法的商业计划书比赛。比赛将于2007年2月26日－3月2日在美丽的美国西雅图华盛顿大学举行。
下面是来自大赛组委会的欢迎词：We invite business plans that address any of a broad range of subjects. This list includes, but is not limited to: health care, education, the environment, energy, information and communication technology, social services, agriculture, and manufacturing.
Business plans will be judged on impact on quality of life in the developing world, implementation feasibility, and financial sustainability. The winning teams will be awarded monetary prizes.
Invitations have been sent to major universities around the world. Developing country teams selected to compete in Seattle will be considered for travel scholarships covering transportation and accommodations.

June – September 2006: Start thinking about your business idea and begin to draft your business plan
October 2006: Information Session and Networking Nights for University of Washington Teams (exact dates TBD)
October 31, 2006: USA and International Teams executive summaries due (check back for format and criteria)
November 6, 2006: University of Washington teams’ executive summaries due (check back for format and criteria)
November-December 2006: Preliminary round teams selected and invited to compete
January 2007: Mentors assigned
January 2007: Full Business Plan due
February 19, 2007: Final Business Plans due
February 26- March 2, 2007: GSEC Week

韩国KAIST大学无电源收音机创业团队获得2006年全球社会创业竞赛冠军（奖金5000美元），该团队商业计划书是在蒙古为缺电农村人群制造靠手发电的调频收音机。来自上海交通大学的FERLAND创业团队的商业计划书获得了银奖。
